What is a better investment, gold or diamond?

Whether or not gold is better than diamond is irrelevant for the average person. The only people 

who can make diamonds a legitimate investment vehicle, like my former employer of 18yrs, is if 

you are in the industry and have above average skills, buying & selling sources and connections, 

lots of cash and staying power and deep understanding of the product and the entire pipeline as 

well as world issues and industry issues. It takes decades to gain this knowledge and only if you are 
in the mix of it everyday with the right exposure. Stick with Gold. It is a true commodity, is far 

more liquid, and anyone can research gold investment with no need for industry insiders or 

connections. The learning curve on gold is minuscule compared to diamonds. And Gold is a simple 
material - whereas every Diamond is unique and not a true commodity.
